Life’s better with a boat

Life’s better with a boat! Those of us fortunate enough to have a bent for messing about in boats know how true that statement is and certainly over the Christmas break we messed about aplenty.

Overall we were away for nearly a month, spending most of that time on the water, on a boat. And not just one boat either. We got to stay, or mess about in, tinnies, rubber duckies, big boats, small boats and even Jetski’s (yes, gone over to the dark side I’m afraid).

And our boating wasn’t just confined to one area either. We went boating in NSW at Port Stephens and up into the beautiful Myall Lakes and then back home in Victoria, out and about on Port Phillip with a couple of weeks spent on board based at fabulous Queenscliff. And the common theme throughout the whole time? Apart from the obvious, being out on the water of course - Fun, family and friends. And that’s what boating’s all about.

Which brings me to my point. The Boating Industry Association of Victoria have launched their ‘Life’s better with a boat’ campaign. It’s all about letting people know that this lifestyle is available to everyone, young, old, or any age in between and irrespective of budget. And best of all, it’s a great way to spend time with family and friends. Check out the website at or take a look at the short video on our home page at
