Shipmate News 13 June 2013

We’re early! Didn’t want to miss the show

We’re a couple of days early with this edition of Shipmate News, call it our special Melbourne Boat Show Edition. We had so much news about the Melbourne Boat Show it would have been a shame to hold back till Monday, which is the last day of the show and the day that this edition would normally be out.

If you hadn’t been planning to go to the Melbourne Boat Show then check out some of the stuff below and you’ll no doubt change your mind. As a trailer boat and fishing boat show, they don’t get much bigger (and better) than this.

There’s a raft of new releases planned for the show, Bar Crusher’s new Gen2™ hull will make its official debut in the form of the 615C, the Bar Crusher 535XS steps up with the addition of Quickflow™ water ballast technology and the new 730HT is destined to draw a big crowd.

From Chaparral Australia we’ve got their latest Xtreme wake machine, which has arrived just in time for the Show. The Xtreme tow boat range are the world’s only dedicated saltwater wake boats packed with features designed to keep you out on the water all day.

Robalo, the outboard fishing boat range from Chaparral will also be on show for the first time in Melbourne following the Australian debut at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

Honda will have a powerful presence at the Show with its distinctive, silver-coloured premium outboard engine range on display. From the lightweight BF2.3 right up to the sleek and strong BF250, there’s an outboard in Honda’s range to suit everything from small tinnies right up to serious offshore fishing boats.

From Savage comes news that there’s generous cash back deals now available on all Savage Fibreglass models, with up to $5000 up for grabs! National Savage Fibreglass Account Manager Jason Draeger said the cash back had been released to kick start the busy boat show season and the offer would be available for a limited time only.

The Show’s not just all about boats and motors though as there’ll also be a non-stop feast of entertainment, education and prizes on the TrailerBoat SuperStage running throughout the show. Lot’s of info on gear and equipment too and details on some of Victoria’s most spectacular boating destinations such as the Murray River and the Geelong-Otway region.

The Melbourne Boat show; it’s on at Jeff’s Shed and starts this Friday till Monday. Make sure you call in.

While we’ve packed in plenty about the Melbourne show, that’s not all we’ve got in this edition. Still plenty of other marine news from right around the country so, sit back and enjoy the read.

Cheers, see you out on the water
