The Victorian flotillas of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard will now be relying on RACV Marine Batteries to keep their vessels on the water 24/7
RACV Marine Batteries have proudly announced that they are now partnering with the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard in Victoria (AVCG), to provide RACV marine batteries to all the nineteen Victorian flotillas that operate their rescue vessels and tow vehicles.
RACV Marine general manager Neil James says “RACV Marine are proud to partner with the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard and provide marine and vehicle batteries to ensure the continued patrol and search and rescue efforts of the Victorian flotilla’s of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard to help ensure the safety of all Victorian boaters.”
The AVCG plays an extremely important role in the safety of boaters across our vast Victorian coastline. There are now 190,000 registered recreational vessels in Victoria and this number is on the rise. The Coast Guard’s water activations are akin to RACV’s roadside presence; rescuing Victorians from broken down vessels, towing to safe harbour or assisting with flat batteries. Therefore, the AVCG’s vessels must be ready to respond to marine emergencies 24 hours per day, every single day of the year.
